On 18th of June 2023 we held the Independence party for the Philippine community for the first time in 3 years. The celebration was long awaited and we welcomed many new members of the community. We had introductory conversation with all of them and let them know how to contact us and that we are there to facilitate getting information about different kind of procedures. 74 people attended, many of them with kids – there were 16 kids, ranging from toddlers to teenagers, all of them born and raised in Bulgaria. We spent several pleasant hours with fusion of Philippine and Bulgarian food, karaoke, games and much anticipated mingling and conversation. The party was held at Hamak Park Arabiyata, owned by Bobby and his wife Faith, who is also a Filipino. They were wonderful hosts.
