Philippine Independence day On the June 21st 2026 a party was held in Sofia, Bulgaria to celebrate 128 years independency of the Republic if the Philippines. Organizers were members of the Filipino community in Bulgaria with  the General Honorary consulate of the Philippines sponsoring the venue.  In attendance were many members of the Filipino community as well as their families and friends.

Days of SESEA The students from Sofia University “St Kliment Ohridski” are organizing the now annual festival with the name “A travel through Asia”.  It will be held on May 8th, 9th and 10th and will include countries from Southern Eastern and Southeastern Asia.   On May 9th in the Center of Eastern Languages and Cultures, with the cooperation of the Philippine Embassy in Bucharest and the Honorary General Consulate in Sofia, the students have prepared a room dedicated to the Philippines. There the attendees will  be able to see traditional Filipino clothing, spices and more.  There will also be a screening of the film “Pepot Artista” on May 10th in the Rectorate of Sofia University in hall 65 from 11:30 .

On 25-26 April 2026, an Outreach service was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The service was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Romania. Personnel will be coming from the embassy in Bucharest, PAG-IBIG Milan, and the Department of Migrant Workers Budapest. In total for the two day, 52 Consular services were provided.
